Dear Movement Mentors,
Thanks for taking the time to check out our newsletter! Please find below our new maps, miles and a photo log of where we've virtually traveled so far! We currently have over 300 children participating in FitKids for the 2007 / 2008 school year! We expect to see more groups come on board throughout the year. It's been an exciting fall with many of our FitKids participating in Fall Fitness Friday and in the USA LUGE Slider Search. Pen Pal letters will be mailed to Daniels on November 15th. Watch for news coverage of the West Valley Business and Marketing Class as they raise money to help breakfast at Daniels Public Primary School with the FITKIDS FEED A FRIEND program. Our partnership with Daniels Public Primary School has been facilitated through the Roger Federer Foundation and IMBEWU.org. For complete information about FitKids and these other wonderful organizations, please visit us online at: FitKidsUSA.org Great job running! Thanks for being a part of the FitKids Team! Kathleen |

October Mileage - 383.25 Great work FitKids! We have traveled nearly 400 miles through South Africa and into the small country of Lesotho. We'll spend the weekend in the capital city of Maseru! Look below for some images of where what we've seen so far! |
| Port Elizabeth, South Africa
Great White Shark off the Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth South Africa |
| Addo Elephant Park
These young elephants are playing just like our FitKids! Play is an important part of life for people and animals alike! |
Lesotho

What does Lesotho have in common with our climate? What can you see that is different? |
Mark your classroom map
This Google Earth close-up map will help you mark your progress on your classroom map! Don't forget to print your individual map on the fitness journal. If you have not yet received your classroom maps, they should arrive by Monday. The web maps will all appear online by Monday as well! |
Movement Tip
Take a hike! Fall is a beautiful time of year to take a walk through the orchards, the vinyards or the park. When you and your family are out for that walk play a quick game of tag and take the steepest hill a few times to raise your heart rate! |
